I like her face, it's pretty. Big lips look really nice on most women. And the curls accentuate her ample features. I feel I'm come off as being annoying for critiquing a concept doodle, but eh. The lower portion of her looks more like a child's. A petite woman has more definition in their structure then that.
Pay note that their shoulders would be wider and narrower (even though I noticed her shoulders are more drawn back and are giving the allusion that her head is bigger then her body), with more show of muscle (or if any) in the given places. Her ribcage also could use more widening and a more curve. All I see is a straight line instead of a curve.
Critiques are welcome on all of my pictures, even the simple concept drawings so don't feel like you are being annoying. The comment actually helped me a lot because it made me realize my main problem with my concepts of my characters. The story's timeline will look at the years when they are between the years 11-13 and 18-20 (I think). However, when I have been drawing, I don't think I was really determining what age I was drawing them at, so I think both young and older charactereisitcs were coming through the drawing, which is really stupid. I need to find reference pictures for the appropriate age before my next drawing.
Thanks for those reference pictures. They will help me with drawing a petite frame.
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
